Cannot determine embedded database driver class for database type NONE
This error comes when you don’t have a DataSource configured for your spring boot application. When you run spring boot application, it tries to configure the DataSource and throws this error message when there is no configuration provided. Fix for Cannot determine embedded database driver class for database type NONE
As you can see that my java classes have nothing, so the error has to do something with Spring Boot. I found two ways we can fix this issue.
Method 1: Exclude Auto Configuration

Another way to fix this issue is to provide spring.datasource.url in the application.properties file. It worked for me, although I didn’t provided any database username and password.
