Yandex: Millions of people at risk of data abuse

The recent Yandex data breach has caused quite a stir in the online privacy and cybersecurity communities. On January 29, 2023, it became known that a large amount of data from the Russian search giant Yandex was published on the Internet. The disclosed data contained confidential information about millions of Yandex users – including names, addresses and phone numbers.

In addition, Yandex has recommended its users to be careful with suspicious emails or calls, set new passwords and activate two-factor authentication for additional security.
