High availability without in-house cluster expertise

Managed clusters combine redundant infrastructure with professional operation – for minimal downtime and maximum peace of mind.

Redundancy at all levels

Multiple nodes, redundant networks and real-time replication: if one component fails, the others take over – automatically and without any loss of data.

Load Balancing & Failover

Incoming traffic is intelligently distributed; in the event of a fault, automatic failover kicks in within seconds. Your users won’t even notice.

Full operation included

centron handles planning, set-up, updates, patching and 24/7 monitoring. The virtual machines in the HA pool are guaranteed a monthly availability of 99.8 per cent.

Compliance built in

GDPR-compliant operations in certified to ISO 27001 on the basis of IT-Grundschutz data centres in Germany – with BSI C5:2020 Type 1 certification for ccloud³ / Managed Cloud.

Exactly how much a managed cluster costs

A managed cluster consists of ccloud³ VMs in the HA pool, each with Premium Full Management at €50.00 per VM per month. You determine the number and size of the nodes – here are three typical setups to give you an idea:

Managed Clusters – Performance and Costs

How much does a managed cluster cost at centron?

At centron, a managed cluster is tailored to the required number of nodes and configuration level, and a quote is provided on request. centron sets up the cluster, keeps it up to date and monitors it – you run your application on it without having to worry about reliability at the infrastructure level. The nodes run as ccloud³ VMs in the high-availability pool with a contractually guaranteed availability of 99.8 per cent and real-time replication across multiple cloud nodes. If you need containers rather than traditional clusters, Managed Kubernetes, starting from €29.99 per month, is the right choice for you.

Managed Cluster FAQ

Everything you need to know about Managed Clusters

What is a managed cluster?

A high-availability environment comprising several ccloud³ VMs in the HA pool, each with Premium Full Management. centron plans, sets up and operates them – including load balancing, replication, automatic failover and 24/7 monitoring.

What is the availability?

For virtual machines in the high-availability pool, centron guarantees a monthly availability of 99.8 per cent. Thanks to load balancing and redundant systems, your services remain online even during maintenance work or partial outages. The details set out in the relevant service agreement take precedence.

What types of applications is a cluster suitable for?

For everything that simply cannot go down: e-commerce platforms, SaaS applications, databases, portals and business-critical internal systems with high availability and performance requirements.

What is the difference between a managed cluster and Kubernetes?

Managed clusters are traditional, high-availability server environments for existing applications. Kubernetes is designed for containerised, cloud-native workloads. We’d be happy to advise you on which approach – or combination of approaches – is best suited to your application.

How do I get started with a managed cluster?

During the architecture consultation, we analyse requirements relating to availability, load and recovery, and design the appropriate cluster topology. Please contact our sales team for further details.
