When will my card be debited?
Billing takes place on a monthly basis: at the start of each month, we issue an invoice for the previous month’s usage and automatically charge your primary payment method. If your usage exceeds a certain threshold, an interim invoice may be issued. You can also settle the outstanding balance yourself at any time.
Will I be charged if I enter my credit card details?
No. The amount is only debited at the end of the billing period or if a usage limit is exceeded. When you add a card, a pre-authorisation request (usually €1) may be sent to the bank – this is cancelled immediately.
Will tax be included in my monthly bill?
In some countries, we are legally obliged to collect tax. You can find out from our Docs whether this applies to your country and, if so, the rate.
Why are shut-down ccloud³ VMs charged for?
Even when the VM is switched off, the allocated resources remain reserved for you. You will therefore continue to be charged until you permanently delete the instance.
How do I destroy my resources?
In our documentation, you’ll find instructions on how to permanently destroy and delete all products.
Can I be notified if my bill exceeds a certain threshold?
Yes. Set up spending alerts, and we’ll send you an email as soon as your monthly spending exceeds the amount you’ve set.
What if I use my ccloud³ VM for less than a month?
You only pay for the hours you actually use. All ccloud³ VMs are billed by the hour – for example, if you use a €10 VM for just 336 hours, you pay €5 on an hourly basis.
My bill is higher than the VM price. Why is that?
Our prices apply per individual ccloud³ VM. You may have created additional resources. You can find details in the billing overview in the control panel – if you have any questions, please contact support.
I have received a €200 starting balance. When will the amount be debited from my card?
Only once the credit balance has been used up. If, for example, you spend €25 within the 60 days, nothing will be charged; if you spend €300, only the €100 in excess of the credit balance will be charged. Any remaining credit balance will expire at the end of the 60 days.
How do I remove my card from my account?
On the Billing page, click ‘Delete’ in the payment method menu and confirm. The account’s default payment method cannot be removed.
Can I pay for my resources in advance?
If you are interested in making an advance payment, please contact our team of experts.
Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact support.
