Whether merchandise management, customer platform or development environment: four fields in which companies and IT partners typically use the centron cloud.

SAP S/4HANA, Sage & ERP systems

Business-critical workloads such as SAP S/4HANA, Sage, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or in-house ERP systems run on dedicated infrastructure – managed and highly available, covered in detail on ERP hosting.

System houses & DevOps teams

Full support for Kubernetes, dedicated SSD resources and an open system architecture – ideal for IT service providers running or delivering enterprise workloads. The toolchain is shown on DevOps toolchain hosting.

Digital platforms & containers

Containerised applications, DevOps pipelines and digital platforms scale efficiently via Kubernetes – with AutoScaler and traffic at a fixed price.

Hybrid architectures & colocation

VMs with dedicated or shared CPU, object storage, GPU resources or colocation of your own hardware – hybrid and edge scenarios are possible too.

From assessment to operation

Your journey to the Enterprise Cloud

We begin by analysing your system landscape and compliance requirements, design a target architecture and migration plan, and oversee the migration without any disruption to operations. Following this, centron can, if required, take over the entire operation – with SLAs tailored to your requirements.

Enterprise FAQ

Everything businesses need to know about centron

Is centron a real alternative to hyperscalers such as AWS or Azure?

Yes – if you value data sovereignty, personal support and technical control. centron offers GDPR-compliant enterprise hosting in ISO 27001-certified data centres in Germany. You keep full control over your IT architecture – without vendor lock-in, but with scalable infrastructure at eye level. See the direct comparison at centron vs. Microsoft Azure.

Which applications can I run on the centron platform?

The infrastructure is designed for business-critical workloads – such as SAP S/4HANA, Sage, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or in-house ERP systems. Containerised applications, DevOps pipelines and digital platforms also run efficiently via Kubernetes.

How flexible is the infrastructure for individual requirements?

Very. You choose between VMs with dedicated or shared CPU, object storage, GPU resources or colocation. Kubernetes is supported natively, and hybrid or edge scenarios are possible too. The platform is designed to scale with your company.

Does centron meet our compliance requirements?

centron operates certified to ISO 27001 on the basis of IT-Grundschutz data centres in Germany and holds an unrestricted BSI C5:2020 Type 1 certificate for ccloud³ / Managed Cloud. The service is GDPR-compliant – providing a robust foundation for banks, insurance companies, the healthcare sector and the public sector.

How does centron ensure the security of my data?

Your data stays in Germany. The data centres are secured on multiple levels and ISO 27001-certified. Optionally there are managed firewalls, encrypted storage, monitoring, geo-redundancy and a dedicated contact for your infrastructure. All data processing is GDPR-compliant.

What SLAs does centron offer?

Service levels are agreed contractually – ranging from availability guarantees for dedicated servers to defined response times in our Premium Full Management service. We tailor the SLAs to the criticality of your systems.

What support services does centron offer enterprise customers?

You get direct access to a dedicated contact in technical support – no ticket system, no call centre. On request we support you with migration, feasibility analysis and technical design, with contractually agreed SLAs and guaranteed response times.

How does a migration to centron work?

In three phases: assessment of your system landscape, joint development of a target architecture with a migration plan, and supported implementation without any disruption to operations. Our experts will take on as much of the work as you wish to delegate.

Can we integrate our own hardware?

Yes. With colocation, you operate your own systems in our data centre in Hallstadt near Bamberg – directly connected to your cloud environment for hybrid architectures.

What entry options are there – including for smaller teams?

Startups, SaaS providers and SMEs benefit from the solutions too. With €200 starting credit you can test the platform risk-free: start with a small setup of VMs, Kubernetes or storage and expand the environment project by project – without long-term contractual commitment.

Are hyperscalers affected by the US CLOUD Act despite EU regions?

In principle: the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (CLOUD Act) can allow US authorities access to data even when it is stored in an EU data centre – provided the service provider is subject to US jurisdiction. At centron, no components dependent on US jurisdiction are in use: your risk exposure to access via US legal mechanisms such as the CLOUD Act is thereby reduced considerably. More under data sovereignty.

How does the CLOUD Act differ from the GDPR and German data protection law?

The GDPR aims to protect the personal data of natural persons, strengthen data subjects’ rights and strictly regulate transfers to third countries – with appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. The CLOUD Act, by contrast, empowers US authorities to access data held by US-based providers – regardless of where it is stored. It follows not the storage location but the control by a US provider.
