How much does a root server cost at Centron?
A root server from centron costs from €3.11 per month as a virtual machine with full root access – billed by the hour and with no minimum contract term. ‘Root’ here means unrestricted system control: your own operating system, your own services, your own firewall rules. If you require exclusive hardware with no other users, choose the dedicated root server based on AMD EPYC Genoa with at least 128 GB RAM; the price depends on the configuration. The VM is covered by the ccloud³ SLAs under the service specification (99.5% Worker/Power, 99.8% HA Pool); for the dedicated root server the SLA is agreed contractually. Both are hosted in certified to ISO 27001 on the basis of IT-Grundschutz data centres in Bamberg/Hallstadt. New accounts receive a €200 starting credit.
